What I will be Volunteering for?…
Engage the people…
As a volunteer you will be engaging with all types of people in all types of environments. We are carrying the presence of Jesus with you and when we engage with others they should see him through everything we do.
Through Prayer/Laying of the Hands:
there will be moments where someone needs a physical healing. We are told throughout the Bible there is healing power in the laying of hands. Think of it like this, when someone is lying in a hospital bed and they reach for a hand to hold. There is such a peace that washes over that person and they can finally rest.
Through Providing Services
Outreach a lot of times may look like mowing someone’s lawn, building a ramp, helping them gather groceries or personal items. For an example someone’s house burns down and they need help walking through there home to collect items that survived the flames . As a volunteer with Freed ministries we are there through the good, maybe getting a new job or car, to the worst, someone just lost their son to an overdose or even their home. providing a service can be simply just being there for someone.
